It turns out that I don't mix patterns all that often. So this month's EBEW was a true challenge for me (one that I clearly didn't have much confidence in myself to pass). You all will have to be the judge: did I pass? If I didn't, I will at least stand by and claim to have like the outfit.

I wore this yesterday when I finally got to see Lea again after months of life getting in the way. We had some bubble tea, shopped a little, explored a tiny bit of the Pearl District in Portland, and then had dinner with her boyfriend.

I got a TON of comments about parts of my outfit from random Portlanders. The checkout girl at Buffalo Exchange dug my necklace, a guy on the bus really liked my dress, some teenagers on the train loved my boots, and my jacket got some nods. So, it seems, I am doing something right according to the public.
Some of my favorite things are the details in this outfit, though.
This is from Claire's. For $3! How cool is that?
Thrifted bag, bracelets that were a gift.
I was even told I looked a little grunge in this look which I found fitting since I listened to Nirvana's In Utero the entire way to Portland. I'm not so into flannel, but Kurt Cobain can rock my iPod any day.

Anyway, I feel like it's been a little while since I gave you an awkward photo at the end of a post, so here it is, lovely readers!
